A Note About COVID-19

Due to the public health crisis of COVID-19, many services are available via HIPAA compliant telehealth. Our office will be happy to discuss all options for receiving care with you and your family.  If it is determined that in-person services are needed, be assured that we are taking the following precautions to protect our patients and help slow the spread of COVID.

  • Office seating in the waiting room and in therapy/testing rooms has been arranged for appropriate physical distancing.

  • My staff and I are required to receive clearance thru temperature checks and the SoCo COVID-19 Symptom Check App prior to attending any in person appointments.

  • My staff and I are fully vaccinated per healthcare requirements and wear masks.

  • All patients and family members/caregivers/attendants are required to be screened for symptoms and elevated temperature prior to attending any in person appointments.

  • All patients and family members/caregivers/attendants are required to wear masks.

  • My staff maintains physical distancing.

  • Restroom soap dispensers are maintained, and everyone is encouraged to wash their hands.

  • Hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol is available in the therapy/testing rooms, the waiting room, and at the reception counter.

  • Only one in person appointment is scheduled per day, and each in person appointment is spaced to minimize environmental exposure.

  • All patients are asked to wait in their cars or outside until 5 minutes before their appointment times.

  • Test materials, testing surfaces, pens and other areas that are commonly touched are thoroughly sanitized before and after each use.

  • Patients are seated in a testing room, and the examiner is visible thru a window in a separate room. Test materials are passed thru the window when needed/able. If the examiner needs to provide or collect materials, time in the same room is brief and kept to the minimum possible.

  • If testing requires seating in the same room for any reason (e.g., hearing inadequate, use of a wheelchair, etc.), a physical barrier is used.

  • Tissues and trash bins are easily accessed. Trash is disposed of on a frequent basis.

  • Common areas are thoroughly disinfected at the end of each day.

  • The office ventilation system has been equipped with UV boxes to assist in treating circulated air.

  • Standing UV towers are provided in the waiting/testing rooms/offices to further assist in treating air.
